Cloth Diapers

6/25/08 - Well, today was Ella's first day in cloth diapers. I thought I would try them now that she poops an aweful lot less and I've been trying to save a little money as well. I think she really likes them so far; they are definetly softer and it seems like she has more leg freedom. I guess I'll give an update in a week after I've changed a few poopy diapers and after she's soaked through her vinal panties a few times :)

(This just in: Ella pooped. The cloth diaper held up very well, but Mommy didn't. I got a little touch of nausea when I had to wash off the poo before I chucked it in the washer. I suppose I can get used to this...)

Other Events from the "Day of the Roll!"

6/21/08 - Aside from rolling over, other Ella events included: making funny faces at the camera and taking a stroll in Grampa Moase's moccasins.

(she is lacking pants because as soon as we got to Grampa & Nanna Moase's house, Ella decided she wanted to pee while sitting on Mommy's lap... The outcome: wet baby pants and wet Mommy pants)

Ella's First Roll-Over!!

6/21/08 - Happy 4 Month Birthday Ella & Happy First Roll-over!!! Luckily I was poised and ready with the camera when she was on the floor playing with Aunt Helen. Helen was tempting her with a rattle-ladybug and Ella just couldn't resist. After the initial roll, she did it several more times :) Of course, once she got on her belly, she couldn't figure out how to roll back :)

Father's Day!

6/15/08 - This Sunday was Dan's first Father's Day! Ella slept while I made him breakfast in bed, but she did wear her snazzy "I Love Daddy" bib, and later on in the day, put on her "My Dad Rules" jumper. Maybe next year she can help me make the french toast?

6/13/08 - We had a wonderful visit from Dan's sister Maria, her husband and new baby Lydia this week. Lydia just turned 1 month old on the 7th and was looking beautiful, healthy and strong! The whole family was together at Gramma & Grandpa Mokwa's house Friday night to visit with each other and play with the babies!!

Ooooo Ella!

6/11/08 - Just over the past two days or so Ella has decided to become very vocal. She only likes to make one sound, but she does it over and over again. I think she just realized the sound is coming from her and she can't get enough of it! In this video, she had already been doing it for about 5 minutes and continued to do it for several minutes after I took the video of her.
The picture is a little dim because it was early, early morning, but you can still hear her loud and clear :)

Ella Feeds Herself! (well, sort of...)

Well, it was time for Ella to eat, and the bottle was all ready, but I wasn't yet. So I thought I would just hand her the bottle to hold while I got settled in my chair, but low and behold, she took it upon herself to try and eat :) (I guess she was pretty hungry... at one point she trys eating through her nose!)
She hasn't mastered it yet, but she's only 3 1/2 months old, so I think she's doing pretty good! :)

6/8/08 - Well, we finally broke down and bought a new camera. The pictures I had been taking of Ella were just getting too blurry and I felt bad that I couldn't take videos with sound. So we had a good old time over the weekend taking pictures galore and learning how to use the new thing. Here are some random shots we took over this HOT weekend... (I'm still working on uploading some videos :) )

6/3/08 - Ella actually laughed out loud today! Not the usual breathing heavy and kind of cough-laughing like we usually hear... this was full out laughing! I had her sitting up with me on the floor and Dan came in with one of her blankies and starting throwing it at her and laughing. Apparently it was pretty funny because every time he would lift his arm to throw it, she would bust out in laughs!!! Unfortunatly we got no video or pictures, but this was taken shortly after and she was still smiling like a bugger... I promise to get a video/picture next time! :)
