Wild & Crazy Hair

8/17/08 - So we mentioned to Ella that we were thinking about giving her a trim... but she wasn't too keen on the idea.
Here's a few pictures of how crazy her hair has been lately :) It's getting to the point that a single barrett just isn't cutting it!

8/11/08 - Ella had her first real baby food (not cereal) over the weekend and she loved it! We let her try the Gerber squash and of course she wouldn't touch it until Mommy ate some and showed her it was yummy :) In honor of the occasion, I had her dressed in a fitting color for the day's event :) She was my little Pumpkin!

Green Eyes

8/8/08 - So we think Ella's eyes have settled on a color. First they were dark blue, then light blue, then blue with light brown, then greenish brown, then greenish blue, then bluish greenish brown, and now... finally... green (or at least we think so).

Muh-Muh! (Video Update)

8/5/08 - WHOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Ella spoke her first perfectly pronounced word today!!!!
"Muh-Muh" (Mama)
She now says it whenever she wants her Mama or when she's hungry, tired, cranky or wants Mama to pay attention to her :)

8/6/08 - This is from this morning. It's quick, so you might miss it the first time, but there is definetly a "Muh-muh" there. Her pronounciation was a lot better yesterday, but it's still early in the day.. maybe later on I'll get a better one!

8/5/08 - Over the weekend we travelled out to Centerville PA for the Wright Family Reunion at the farm. Ella was out of her element and kind of cranky the whole weekend, but we blame it partially on the fact that Saturday night she didn't sleep a wink. Sunday night was a lot better and once we got home she slept like a champ. She did have a nice time visiting with everyone and meeting all kinds of new great aunts and uncles and cousins. It was also nice for us because we got to see our favorite niece Lydia and spend time with Maria, Chad, Jim and Kelly :)

A Very Important First!!

7/25/08 - Today was the first time (the very first) that Grampa Moase held Ella :) He picked her up and sat her on his lap while he and Nanna were over for a visit. I had to be sneaky with the camera so I could get a few shots, but I got 2 good ones, and that's all that matters! (After the 25th, this past weekend, Grampa picked Ellie right up and carried her down to the lake and dipped her feet in the water :), but 7/25 was the very first time he ever picked her up).
